This commitment is set to benefit millions of hens in its global sup- ply chain and follows the largest public cage-free campaign to date, led by the Open Wing Alliance.
On August 26, 2021, Yum Brands released a cage-free policy for the US, Western Europe, and other leading mar- kets.

The fast food corpora- tion also agreed to pro- vide annual progress re- porting to ensure trans- parency.
This transition will be complete by the end of 2030.

Victorian Farmers Federation egg group president Brian Ahmed said, “As an industry we have an important role to play as a major pro- vider of food and fibre to those struggling to put food on the table.”
“More importantly, it solves one of the age-old quandaries... clearly on this occasion, the eggs are coming first!” Mr McNamara said.

The Victorian Farmers Federation has launched its ‘Farmy Army’ cam- paign, coordinating a re- sponse effort for farm- ing communities doing it tough, across the state.
“If you stacked them on top of each other, it’s roughly enough to scale the height of Mel- bourne’s Eureka Tower more than 30 times,” Mr Ahmed said.
The initiative evolved from the recent COV- ID-19 outbreak affecting the greater Shepparton area, but will operate as a long-term plan to help provide food sup- port and resources to Victorians, with options to register need for as- sistance, donate time or produce.
