The Kemin team celebrated 25 years in Australia at the recent PIX event.
Kemin celebrates 25 years in Australia
KEMIN commenced operations in the US in 1961 and so notches up 57 years in business this year.
Kemin was started by the entrepreneurial Nel- son family and indeed re- mains in the safe hands of the family to this day.
While Kemin Australia began operating in 1992 and so had its 25th birth- day last year, staff and customers of Kemin Aus- tralia and New Zealand celebrated the quarter century milestone at an event at the Gold Coast’s Star Casino on June 2 in association with this year’s Pan Pacific Pork Expo and the combined Poultry Information Ex- change/Australasian Mill- ing Conference.
Kemin products have achieved gold standard- benchmark status in the pig and poultry industries during the past 25 years, including Acid L AC, En- dox, Myco CURB and Sal CURB.
Within the past 10
years, products such as CLOSTAT and Lysoforte have become well recog- nised as effective contrib- utors to animal health and nutrition.
It’s anticipated that newer Kemin products recently released such as CholiPEARL, Buti- PEARL and Aleta will al- so quickly establish them- selves in their prospective markets.
Kemin is a research and development-based or- ganisation with specialist sales, technical and ap- plication staff located in both Australia and New Zealand.
Customers and potential users of Kemin products receive first-class advice, support and service from the specialised team of 14 staff.
Kemin Australia was once again very pleased to be able to support the Pan Pacific Pork Expo and the PIX/AMC conferences in 2018.
Kemin continues to sup- port many other industry
groups with conferences, seminars and various re- search.
The list includes Syd- ney University’s Poultry Research Foundation, the Australian Poultry Sci- ence Symposium, the Australasian Pig Science Association, the Pet Food Industry Association and the Australian Renderers Association.
Dr Rick Carter, a recent recipient of the Ron Lyon Award for services to the rendering industry, also celebrated his 20-year anniversary working for Kemin in June.
Rick has been the ‘heart and soul’ of the Kemin technical sales function for both Australia and New Zealand as well as across the Asia-Pacific region.
Rick was honoured for his service at the 25-year anniversary event with many Australian and New Zealand business partners paying tribute to Rick’s contribution not only to Kemin, but also the vari-
ous industries he is a part of.
Kemin Australia thanks past, present and future customers for their in- terest and use of Kemin
products and services, as together we strive to con- tinuously improve feed safety, stability and per- formance of the animals in our collective care.
